Brian Veppert

Hello, my grandfather fought with the 94th through towns named Benning and Tetington (I don't know if I have spelled them correctly.)  He was with c376. I would love to surprise him by talking about someone he might have known while he was over there. If anyone recognizes his name, Clive Fisher, or his outfit, could you please drop me a line? I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much, sincerely, Brian Veppert.  FECC@prodigy.net

Subject: Jack Marsden

My cousin Jack Marsden was wounded on Jan. 15, 1945 in the town of Wies.  I don't believe the town exists today.  This small hamlet was next to the towns of Nennig and Besch.

Jack served in "K" Co. of the 376 Regt. his commanding officer was Lt. Dwight Morse, nicknamed "Moose".

I am very interested in learning more about this action.  I have read the account in the history of the 94th. Infantry Div. but it is very matter of fact, devoid of feeling. If anyone has personal memories of Jack or his friend, Robert Kennedy, who was killed the same day I would be most interested to hear from them.

My name is Robert Marshall, grandson of Jack Jacobsen Jr.-94th inf. div. He has long since passed on, but my memories of him are still with me today.
I had no idea he was with the 94th until my grandmother told me a few months back,he arrived in France in september of 1944 and was wounded in the Rhineland sometime in '45.  (I apologize for not being prepared with all the information on him) I know there are many men in the 94th and the chances of someone who knew him are probably quite rare, but in any case; if there is a chance you knew him ,by all means please contact me.

Am trying to learn the wherabouts of Robert Ames, one of my buddies from WWII.  We served together in the 94th, 302nd Infantry, Company L.  There were 3 of us that were good friends, the other being Hjalmer Lindberg also called Lindy.  Hjalmer was killed in action January 20, 1945.  I lost contact with Bob in early '46 just after marrying Hjalmer's sister in Wisconsin.  If I remember correctly, Bob was from Marquette Michigan.  Can anyone tell me where he is or what happened to him.

Thomas M. Clausi
My Father, Thomas D. Clausi, served in the 94th Infantry Division, 302nd Regiment, Company K. He was a Tech. Sergeant.
I recently read the book, Patton's Ghost Corps, by Nathan N. Prefer. On page 51 Mr. Prefer mentions a Thomas M. Clausi, T/5.
The Clausi name is rare in the US. I am trying to gather some family history and would like to contact the Mr. Clausi mentioned in the book or his family. Can you provide any information in this regard?

Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

 Gary Williamson
I have been in contact with your organization several times in the past few years.  I am trying to find any information on my father Ralph Williamson, who died in 1963.  He was a combat medic in the 302d Regiment, possibly in Company I.  I also had the pleasure to meet some of you at one of your meetings in Pittsburgh in 1995.

So far I haven't been able to learn much, and the records office for the VA in St. Louis has yet to come through with anything.  I did pick up a copy of "History of the 94th Infantry Division", and in that book there is a picture on page 229 that I remember my mother showing me when I was quite young.  That picture shows several medics loading a casualty on a jeep to take him to the rear of the lines.  I think that the medic in the front left of that picture may be my father.  I am wondering if there is anyone in your organization that may have some information concerning the photograph, or possibly direct me to someone that may know something about it, or even about my father in general.

Thanks again for all the help you have given me in the past, and for any that you may give me in the future.  I believe that our past is too important to let fade, and as a college student working toward a teaching degree in social studies, I have a deep appreciation of our history.
