The Alliance at their organizational meeting June 3, 2006
When the membership in the 94th Infantry Division Association dwindles to two hundred (200) men, the constitution of the organization calls for its dissolution. While this is still some years down the road, it is inevitable.
To prepare for this eventuality, the 94th Infantry Division Alliance has been created. This Group consisting of wives, widows, sons, daughters, grand children, brothers, sisters, close interested friends and members of the 94th Regional Readiness Command headquarters in Devens MA, are eligible for membership.
The Purpose of the Alliance is to help perpetuate the legacy, memory and history of the 94th Association. This would include seeing that projects such as the Peace Monument in Germany, the Museum in Devens, the Monument in Ft. Bennings, GA, the Mural in the Boston Statehouse, the highways dedicated to the 94th in various states and even "The Attack" are kept alive and well via oversite by Alliance members.
In actual practice, the Alliance would be phased out when the 94th Association is disolved and be replaced by the 94th Historical Society which would take care of the projects mentioned.
It is the hope of current members of
the 94th Infantry Division Association that those eligible support this
effort by filling out the application below and returning it to the Association
Treasurer with the appropriate check.
