From: "Michael J. & Sandra S. Brown" <mjbrown@swbell.net> Subject: Brown, Dorman E. Sirs, I am trying to locate some information about my father, Dorman E. Brown. He held the rank of either T/Cpl or T/Sgt. I believe he served in the 376th, Battalion and Company unknown. I do know that he was an infantryman. His home of record would be either Sarcoxie, MO, or possibly Glen Elder, KS. Aside from his Class "A" uniform jacket, ribbons, and a copy of his discharge certificate, I don't have much information about his military service. My father passed away several years ago, and while he was here, he would not talk about his time in the military. I believe he was injured in the last weeks of the war, and spent VE day in a military hospital in England. I did discover something of interest a few years ago among dad's things; a 50 francs note, with the names of several individuals written on the note. I am assuming that the names are all soldiers that my father served with. The list of names on the note are: Howard Curler, Wausau, WI
If anyone out there knew my father, I would be very interested in hearing from you. I'm not writing a book or anything like that, just curious about my dad during his time in the 94th. After spending 17 years in the Army myself (in one capacity or another), I'm wanting to try to compare some of his experieces to my own. Thank you for any help you can provide. Please feel free to contact me at either of the email addresses listed below. Respectfully Submitted, Michael J. "Mike" Brown, M.A.
